Tonight I had eaten alone, well not alone, but without Mildred, I felt lonely without her. She did not return from the hospital’s library and I did not want to push it or intrude. If she had found something very interesting, then who am I to selfishly take her away from it? Knowing where she was had to be enough for me and my wolf.
Dad and mum were in the dining hall, happily chatting about the ball that would be this weekend. I had not really thought much about it, since dad gave mum and her minions the paperwork to do, and I got more involved in other areas.
