My poor mate, he has had a troubled life. I hope, now we are mated, that things will improve for him. The last thing he needs is more complications. One of the first things I wanted to do was get him to sit with Emily and get him to apologise. That would take a bit of the load off of his shoulders, his guilt was bad enough, blaming himself for everything, but his mother and father had only compounded it. I fell asleep in his arms, warm and cosy, as he spooned me from behind. The last thing I thought of as I dozed off, was to contact Emily.
I stirred from the best night’s sleep ever, to Tobias trying to untangle himself from me as gently as he could.
