Kathy POV
Flickering my eyes open, my body woke up from the sound of people murmuring around me. Seeing shadowy figures, I closed my eyes as I grunt in ache. My whole body felt like I’d been hit by a truck. I heard voices calling my name and asking if I was okay. My eyes flickered again, and the bright light that foreshadowing my sight went dim. I slowly opened them to see familiar faces standing next to me. There was Alexis, Josh, Belinda, and two other figures wearing a white coat.
“Kathy… sweetheart, can you hear me?” the familiar voice of Alexis asked me.
