Miles POV         It had been two weeks since Kathy and I had a morning talk. It was short yet meaningful to me. I didn’t ask for her forgiveness, but I promised to show her how sorry I was. Maybe in that way, I will earn it from her. I tried to spoil her rotten, making her comfortable and feel adored, but she was Kathy. Her willfulness was unfathomable.         She had been staying at home for the meantime, and I found it unlikely. I knew how much she loved her work, and staying at home wasn’t very much like her. But I didn’t mind because it meant I had more time to spend with her. I cooked for her every day, she didn’t ask me to do it, but that was one of the ways I chose to earn her pity.
