Miles POV
I started checking the paper bags on the counter. Opening it, I found a couple of meat, baby potatoes, and some vegetables. Kathy must have planned to cook my favorite beef stew and potato salad. I started peeling the potatoes while preparing the ingredients. Knowing how good a cook she was, I kind of felt disappointed not to taste her cooking. I had no idea what happened to her foot, and she didn’t even mind telling me.
Julius informed me that Kathy messaged him that something occurred, and she needed help with her grocery items. I felt she was in trouble, so I rushed to his location and went straight inside the grocery shop where Kathy was.
However, I wasn’t expecting to see Kathy hugging a man. The guy looked familiar; He seemed terrified to see me.
