11- His Anguish

RAYMOND'S

Watching these two couples arguing in front of me makes me smile because they made me remember my adolescence and how my life changed when I met someone who can be my life partner.

I can feel the tension between them while they are clashing but at the same time, I can feel something much more powerful while they are standing close to each other. I don't know what that is until I heard my son's voice change.

"Can we...go home now?" Grey asked smoothly without leaving his eyesight on her.

I know my son very well, and I know that he hates me the moment his mother died because he is blaming me until now for why she died.

He also hates someone commanding him what to do. He never follows me or anyone as he always wants to have the upper hand. He never listens to anyone, or me. He does what he thinks is right. He always makes plans for everything. He never takes someone's advice because he doesn't believe in anyone. And ever since he became chief in charge in our organization, his temper is always short. He actually terminates every people whenever he is upset. Everyone in society is actually terrified of him because they know that Grey can extinguish them at any time without any remorse on his face. And, he never bends his head to anyone, even to me.

He actually never illustrate sentiment to anyone ever since his mother died. And most of all, when it comes to women or his needs, he is never afraid to ask the prettiest woman in the room and get a home run at the end of the day. He never let a woman control him. He always uses protection so, no one would claim that he got a girl pregnant. Every woman in the area knows and worships him. They quite adore him, including Hailey, the daughter of Mr. Green who is very obsessed with him. But he never pays attention to her or any woman because he doesn't like a woman who always follows him, and dictates him what to do.

I arranged a lot of dates with him before but no woman get his attention. He just fvck and leaves them.

But then one day, I was surprised when I came to know that he flew to Scotland and left the most important meeting he had been waiting for just to fetch a woman. I was astonished at what he did when I came to know that the woman he fetch was no other than Katlyn, the woman he used to bully back in their grade school. I also heard that they stayed in one hotel together but I was surprised to know that nothing has happened to them just yet until now as I interviewed her a few days ago. She said that she never allow him to touch her because she hates him, which made me smile. After all, I never met a woman who hates him as I knew every woman loves him, except her.

Then, I also heard from Katlyn that when they got here in London, she admitted to me that he is threatening her life, and her parent's life, and even forced her to marry him which shocked me. I did not know that he could do that just because I said that I am willing to pass all of my assets to him if he got married and stay married until I died, and yet he did.

I, then, was very stunned to hear when he took her to his penthouse because he never take a woman home where he and his mother used to live, but she did. He even forced her to marry him and threatened her family just to get my assets, which confused me because he said to me before that he will never settle in one woman, and just grow old whether I like it or not.

I don't know what's running in his head, but there's one certain why he is doing all of this.

And based on my observation...

If he forced her to marry him, threatened her life, her family's life, and hide his true identity to her...

If he let her stay beside him even though they are always fighting and he always get upset, that he even took her to his penthouse, and protect her from all the people who wants to kill him, and now her since they got married...

If he forget about his important meeting just to fetch her, that he even stormed here just to get her...

If he never touches her, and nothing happened to them just yet even though they are living under one roof...

If he gets mad whenever she is out and with some other guy, that he never put a finger on her whenever they are fighting...

And, if he is being gentle with her that I have never seen before just like when they got married...

I saw him that day how he stared at her with so much emotion in his eyes even though she wasn't happy, how he let her touch his face, she manipulated him when she put food in his mouth even it was full already. And how patient he was to her until now every time they are arguing, and his face when she kissed him all of a sudden

Then...she must be special to him.

He may have feelings for her which is still uncertain.

I cracked a small smile in the corner of my lips when I concluded that...I think my son is willing to change for her.

However, while Grey and Katlyn are staring at each other, he lowered his head to get closer to her face.

"Can we...go home now?" he asked one more time in a gentle tone of his voice, and slowly reached for her left hand to get a hold of her.

"No. We had a deal," she answered, and pulled her hand to shove his hand away.

"What deal?" he confusingly questioned because he did not know what she was saying.

"We were in Scotland and inside the bathroom, I told you that since you want fidelity from me then you must do the same or this marriage is over. Remember?" she recapped.

"I—uh..." he stuttered when he remembered what she is saying.

"Now, we're done. Let's get divorced," she announced, and turned around to him when she suddenly felt a hand around her wrist which stopped her.

"No. No, we're not getting divorced," he quickly stated with panic in his voice, and pulled her wrist to be able to face him again.

"Yes, we are. Let me go," she bravely announced again, and thwacked his hand away.

"No. No, no, no. Let's fix this," he said multiple times even though his voice is starting to become husky because he was hurt.

And because of that, he keeps touching her just to be able to get her back again.

"I said no, Grey! I had enough of you, okay?! And what? Fix this? What are you even talking about? Ever since we never had a nice conversation! Now, you want to fix this? Fix our relationship? There was no relationship between us, to begin with, you jackass! Please, set me free!" she exclaimed, and her eyes started to stimulate tears.

"I can't believe this is happening," he huskily mentioned, and pursued her. "Tell me, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to kneel?" he appealed and with that, he kneel in front of her with so much emotion in his eyes.

Whilst Raymond's eyes got bigger when he saw his son pleading in front of her which he never would have imagined he would do just to win her back again. And because he's been standing, he took a seat and watches them.

"Don't touch me!" she annoyingly roared, and pushed him away because he keeps touching her.

"Please, Kat...that was just one mistake," he sobbed, and touches her again.

"One mistake? Are you hearing yourself, Grey? You threatened my life, my parent's life, and you forced me to marry you! You even hide your true identity from me! YOU LIED TO ME! And now, you cheated on me! Now tell me, if that is only one mistake, Grey! Tell me!" she outburst.

"Please, don't do this to me, Kat. I need you," he begged more with a lot of tears coming out of his eyes.

"Oh, please, stop pretending already, Grey! You need me? Why? You need me so, you could save your fvcking ass, your reputation as the badass Mafia?! You need me because your Dad will not give you his possessions if I get to divorce you? I know why you are doing this! I know that you are only doing this because you want to get your Dad's possessions! You want to rule the world! You want to be the highest badass Mafia around the world! Fvck you! Please, let's stop this! I gave up," she snapped out, and pushed him again.

"No, Kat. Please..." he pleaded, and wept more. "None of those is what I really want," he admitted, and he sniffed as he wanted to say more.

"Really, Grey? Really?! Then, why did you force me to marry you?! Why did you threaten my life and my parent's life just so you could get what you want from your Dad, huh?! Answer me!!!" she screeched, and pushed his shoulders.

He got stumbled making him fall to the ground.

But for a moment, Grey did not answer and just whine his heart out which Raymond haven't seen for a while.

"Let's get divorced, okay? And if you don't sign the papers, I'm telling you, Grey, I will suicide. Do you hear me? Now, I want my parents back! I want MY LIFE back! And after signing the contract, please, I don't want to see you ever again! You hear me?! God, I despise you! I don't want to see even a glimpse of you, got it? We're done! We're fvcking done, you cheater monster and son of a jackass!" she enunciated, and wiped her tears with the napkin on the table. Then, she looked at Raymond. "I am sorry, Dad, for you have witnessed our fight. But I was thankful that I came to you and you helped me. You mean a lot to me, Sir. I will never forget you. I am afraid to say this but...I need to leave," she managed to put a friendly smile at him, and she started to walk away from them.

And in every step, she created one by one, the weights of every problem she had have been lifted until she left Raymond's house.

Meanwhile, Grey did not stop crying and just sat down on the floor while his father watches him.

"Son, I know that she's relevant to you. I know too that mistakes cannot be undone but you can make them right. Tell her what you really feel. Tell her how special she is to you. Tell her the real reason why you did all of it to her. She's not stupid, son. She has a very caring heart that I have never encountered ever since your mother died. Just tell her what you feel about her and I am sure that she will forgive you. It may not be today, but at least make an effort to make her realize that you've changed. Go and win your girl back," Raymond recited, giving his son a little bit of fatherly advice.

"Sir! Sir! Sir!" the guard called in panting, and he run to his bosses.

"Yes, Mr. Lu?" Raymond acknowledged.

"Sir, the woman who just left, Sir Victor's wife, she was hit by a car," he nervously reported.

"What?!" Raymond surprisingly said, and he stood.

Grey, on the other hand, pushed himself up when he heard the news about his wife, and he run as fast as he could outside to see his wife.

And there she was, in the middle of the road, helplessly, and unconsciously lying on the ground.

"No!!!" Grey wailed in anguish, and he immediately lifted her to save her.

While Raymond called for help, and they all go inside the car to bring Katlyn to the nearest hospital.
