Sam’s POV:
The all-too-long journey inside a barrel stops at a halt. The steps of three people coming closer to the barrels alert me. It doesn’t take me long to realize the gate reminds me of the Dino people. I breathe out. It must be the villagers.
“We are at the portal, my King. This will be uncomfortable.” I don’t answer, but keep listening as the voice moves on to warn the others. After, they lift me out of the cart. On the ground, they lower me to the side and roll me to the portal. I go around and around. Uncomfortable doesn’t even cover it, but I don’t protest. I guess this is the easier way to get me through the portal when I cannot make the jump myself.
