Wishing the others a good night, I step outside to the chill evening light. The first guard shift tonight is mine, so I settle by the entrance. We usually have two guards posted outside during the sleeping hours, but not tonight. We are one person down, since Lauren is not to be trusted. To compensate, one man will be alone for the first shift every second night.
I will not be on the roll tomorrow night because of mission preparations. After talking about all the angles, Brian chose our next step. We will contact the village nearby. Sondra, Seb and I will go.
