Gillian The plane ride home felt wrong in every way. I found that each time I woke up from a nap, I would be looking for my mom and dad thinking that they should be right there with us. In reality, they should have been with us. James made sure to comfort me any time he felt my sadness through our mate bond. I could also feel his own sadness and would comfort him in return. My parents were friends with him and his family. I’m sure all of them were upset. When we arrived back in Texas, the plane landed at the private airstrip close to the pack territory. James’s Jeep was sitting there at the airport waiting for us. Carson had gone to Austin to get it from the airport yesterday for him. It was nice to not have to be in an airport with a lot of humans right now. We were so close to home
