"Yes, she did!" Jenny said indignantly.
"As soon as she walked in, she started crying and clinging to Veronica's leg, saying that Zander had forced her to leave. She even deliberately mentioned that she's now the daughter of the Chambers family! It makes me feel sick!"
"Melinda said that Zander had forced her to leave?"
"Exactly!"
Jenny was super angry and added, "She was clearly delighted when she found out she was the lost Miss Chambers and that her fiancé was Zander. She left without a word! How could that be considered being forced?"
Vanya frowned.
Given Melinda's character, if she knew she became Miss Chambers and had a wealthy fiancé, she would be overjoyed. She would never be 'forced' to leave.
