"I heard Calvert got injured, so I came to see him," Zander stood up.
He was more than a head taller than Vanya. She instinctively put some distance between them. "Calvert had a car accident. You really didn't know about it?"
The incident was orchestrated by Melinda, and if she dared to act, there must have been someone backing her up.
Zander paused for a moment and said, "I don't want to hide anything from you. Ella is responsible for Calvert's accident. I just found out, and she did this without my consent. If I had known earlier..."
"If you had known earlier, you would have probably made the whole thing more discreet to cover for Melinda, right?" Vanya interrupted him.
