Mato I wanted to ignore the phone that was interrupting what I considered to be an explosive moment. However, a niggling feeling in the pit of my stomach had me growling out in frustration as I pulled away from Zack to answer the damn thing. “What?” I snapped with more force than I had intended. “Mato?” it was Triston. “Yeah, it’s me, what’s up?” I still wasn’t happy to be interrupted but just the sound of that single word had my whole body tensed up. “You need to come to the café, now,” he ordered softly. “Bring Zack,” and with that, he hung up and that niggling feeling turned into dread.
