“So, what brings the two of you here today?” Rebecca was curious and wary as Mato and I made ourselves comfortable on the couch. Mato was already on edge but I had to have faith in my mate. I remained quiet as the silence stretched on. Technically, this was my appointment but I had a feeling Mato needed it more. No, I knew he needed it more. “Gentlemen?” she urged, and I leaned back and glanced over at my mate. Mato was fidgeting with the hem of his t-shirt. “Talk to me, what is going on?”
“Um…” Mato started and I did my best to remain calm. I wanted to be his rock. “I hi-jacked Zack’s session with you,”
“Why?” she asked curiously and even though she looked at me, I knew she was waiting for Mato to start talking. This was what she did.
