Mato “How are you feeling?” Carmen questioned as she came into the small office and set down a steaming cup of my favorite coffee. “I’m alive,” I muttered as I gratefully wrapped my hands around the cup. The warmth flowed through me, and I shivered as I forced myself to smile up at my sister. “I’m ok,” I then said seriously and she visibly relaxed. “If you feel like you need a break or anything…” her voice trailed off and I quickly waved her away. I had returned to work and this time I was determined not to run away. I kept myself busy by catching up on all the emails and invoices. I have to admit, Joel and Ian had taken care of many things during my absence, and a wave of guilt washed over me. I could hear the hustle and bustle of the café, but I didn’t dare venture out of my office.
