Elizabeth tried to tell herself that leaving Elle was the best chance she could give her of survival. There was nothing she could do to help there, and she wouldn’t be able to give her the help she needed even without the threat of Connie showing up. If she could get to a car, or a phone, she could get Elle some actual help. She was trying her best to remain silent as she walked around the set. It was eerily quiet, and she was afraid of the lengthening shadows as the last beams of the sun started to fade from the sky.
