Mara didn’t explain right away. She simply motioned for them to follow. Instead of leading them deeper into the rough-cut tunnel, she turned toward what looked like a solid stretch of stone wall along the far side of the chamber. It was seamless. Natural. Untouched. She placed her palm flat against the rock. For a second, nothing happened. Then— A faint hum. Low. Mechanical. A thin band of light traced beneath her hand, scanning from wrist to fingertips. A soft sequence of tones followed — precise, layered. Iris felt her pulse quicken. The rock vibrated. A seam appeared where there had been none.
