The car slowed to a stop in front of the hotel. Georgia looked up, her heart doing a weird little flip. “We’re here,” the driver said, glancing back at her. “Thanks,” she replied, grabbing her small bag from the seat beside her. She stepped out and shut the door behind her. The driver gave her a small nod before pulling away. Georgia stood there for a second, looking up at the building. It wasn’t fancy or anything, but it had a clean sign and warm lights in the lobby. It felt… safe. She pulled her hoodie tighter around her and walked through the glass doors. The lobby was quiet.
