Stepping out of Alpha Armand’s office, I felt a strange mixture of emotions swirling inside me. The others seemed to be in the same state—caught between happiness and bewilderment. Alan, Alek, and Aaron exchanged glances, their expressions unreadable. Their “new” father had just dropped a bombshell on us, one that I was still struggling to process.
I turned to them, my voice steady despite the turmoil within me. “Autumn wants to bond properly with her mates,” I said, meeting each of their gazes in turn. “And after that, we better go and check on Lyra and Vic, see how they’re feeling today.” The girls were still in the pack hospital, the battle had took a tool on both of them and their mates we’re struggling too.
