Hunter’s words sent a blast of rage through me, hot and sharp, like a blade twisting in my gut. My breath came hard, chest rising and falling with the effort it took to keep my wolf from lunging forward. I could feel the bond straining, thrumming with fury—not just mine, but Alek’s, Aaron’s, and Amber’s.
Four f*****g bombs, ready to go off.
A low growl ripped from Amber’s throat. Autumn was right there, pushing forward again, dangerous and wild. I could feel Blake bristling in my mind, ears flat, teeth bared. He wanted to tear into something, to rip and shred until there was nothing left.
“We’re going to take her back,” Amber whispered.
Her voice wasn’t loud, but it carried. It was a promise. A f*****g death sentence for anyone standing in our way.
