AMBER POV
Ping. Ping. Ping.
The sound grated against my ears, dragging me out of a dreamless sleep. I groaned, pulling the blanket over my head, but it was useless.
*What the hell is that?!* Autumn’s voice snapped in my mind, her irritation cutting through the haze of my grogginess. *Amber, shut it off before I lose my damn mind.*
“I don’t know what it is,” I muttered aloud, my voice muffled by the pillow.
“Oh, come on,” a voice chimed in, sharp and amused.
I froze for a second before peeking out from under the blanket. Vic stood at the foot of my bed, arms crossed, her signature smug smirk plastered across her face.
“Vic?” I croaked, sitting up. My hair probably looked like a bird’s nest, and I wiped at my eyes, trying to wake up. “What are you doing here?”
