Failure To Scare

"I wake up in the morning I got murder on my mind, AK47, MAC-11, Glocks, and 9's." YNW MELLY, Murder On My Mind. Silas woke up the next morning and went on a run with Maverick and Trent. When they were done letting their wolves roam for a while, they shifted back. Doing basketball shorts the three were walking through the woods, Trent mocking Silas playfully.  "Dude I swear I almost came in there to see if you were hurting her!" Silas scoffed and muttered, "f**k off!"  Maverick glanced at him and asked, "What was it like? Being with your mate?"  Silas sighed, "Well, we didn't have s*x. It was incredible though, touching her, being the first man to see her in that way. Her being so vulnerable and open to me. It just set a fire inside of me I couldn't control. I almost didn't control it."  Maverick and Trent both stopped dead.  "Whoa, man." Trent marveled as Maverick squawked in surprise as he fell to the forest floor.   Yeah, he had probably sent a shock so strong through his friends their organs and brains were shutting down from it.  Living in the demented woods for two years hadn't been the only harsh training his father had made him endure. For years his father made him endure the hardest, most impossible tests thinking he'd fail.  He was the second born, he'd have the alpha gene. But he wasn't the true alpha. Samuel had never let Silas forget the moment Jackson died. He was just a ten-year-old kid. His brother had been his idol, his cool older brother. With a shitty dad like Samuel, Jackson had been a glimmer of hope for his future. His brother would protect him and they'd always be close.  But then...his brother vanished.  He was eighteen, people at first thought he was just being a young man.  A handsome young wolf spreading his seed and enjoying some of the nymphs in their woods.  But for hours...he didn't answer mind links.  And slowly, painfully, the entire family felt their connection to him fade.  When Samuel came home, he told a crying Silas his brother had been killed. No explanation, no comfort, just a cold look and then nothing.  The didn't have a service, they didn't make a shrine or try to remember him. Silas didn't even know where his brother's body was. He asked his father only once. Samuel had beat him black and blue until he could barely breathe. He then left him in the cold basement to pass in and out of painful consciousness as his wolf forced a partial and painful transition to heal him.  His body had twisted in agony withering on the cold basement floor for hours.  A prep before he went to the demented woods right after.  He was just twelve. He was taught and bred to always be in control.  And in that training, he had almost lost control over one sexy ass little witch.  "Damn. That s**t's scary man," Maverick mumbled looking up into the morning light through the trees. "Why?" Silas asked laughing.  Trent shrugged and mumbled, "It's kind of scary to think that even after all this horrible s**t we go through, our mates can come in and turn us inside out. Getting rejected is so much harder than rejecting."  Maverick sighed, "And if you can't control yourself with your mate. We're screwed."  Silas sighed, "I'm screwed I think." Maverick c****d his eyebrow devilishly, "Really that good man?" Silas huffed a little red in the face, "When you two find your mates, remember this."  Both the third and Beta listened as Silas thought of his night and trying to put it into words. " Every time you touch her, it's like you need to touch her more. When you kiss her, you can't stop kissing her. When she's yours, you know you can claim her...because your souls, it feels like their connected. Like our hearts are open attachments finally finding the perfect match."  Maverick whistled while Trent hummed smiled a little, "Sounds...divine." Chuckling Trent started back to the house, "Congratulations alpha."  Smiling Silas rolled his eyes as Maverick shot up, "Soon he'll be making babies!"  Siles laughed but he couldn't help but love the idea of getting Sophia pregnant.  'We're too young. For f**k's sake, she needs to graduate. She might want a career in something.' Siles chasted himself.  Suddenly he heard something he shouldn't and all three ran in a union and stared two wolves. Growling Silas snarled, "YOU'RE ON MY LAND." The wolf jerked his head up, "Your father wants to speak with you." The guard wolf said keeping his eyes low, to show respect. Silas growled wanting to rip the pathetic wolf apart.  But hey, don't kill the messenger right? "Tell my father I do not wish to see him until I come to collect what is mine. And I will not see him a minute before, he will not try to threaten me or blackmail me with SOMETHING. Which would most likely be my mate."  Snarling, Silas' face became more animalistic as he pinned the weaker wolf's gaze to the ground in submission. "I am the Alpha of the Underworld pack. And when I come back to the land, I will come to kill him. Tell him that."  Hearing a high-pitched scream, and his body was filled with a dangerous murder instinct that sent everyone around him backing up. "Was that my mate?" He growled pissed. One of the other guards nastily sneered, "Well some of the other guards may be getting a little too friendly with your witch w***e. I hope you like your girls used and stretched out, cause they're passing her ass-."  Sick of his ignorance, Silas slashed the guard's throat open and then bit the other's throat out. When it was just the one he had under submission he growled, "Take them, go."  Running through the woods, Silas got to his home ready to spill blood. Only of course to be left standing dumbfounded at the sight before him.  They found his mate sitting in the backyard smoking a joint, sipping hot chocolate, and making smores as men lay on the ground withering in pain as they clutched their d***s in agony. "What the hell?" Maverick muttered drawing her attention. "Oh hi," Sophia said waving innocently.  She walked over to them in a long grey cardigan, a white knit halter top, and ripped jeans, with boots. She kissed Silas' cheek sweetly, and gave him her joint, "Here you look like you need this more than me."  Winking at Maverick and Trent she faced the still withering wolves and waved her hand. They all slowly sat up in tears as she walked over them to her perfect temperature smores and cocoa. As she ate her dessert, she looked at her mate drag those pathetic wolves to their other friend and came back still confused. Smiling she patted the spot beside her on the comfy outside sofa. The fairy lights strung above her were off but still beautiful in the morning.  The grey sofa with its wooden arms sat on the back porch with the bonfire, it was a perfect little sitting place.  When Maverick handed Sophia her joint she smiled as she fed her mate a bite of her smores. When he sucked some chocolate off her index, Sophia had frozen wide-eyed making him smile. "You guys know it's like nine in the morning right? Some mother is screaming at you in anger." Trent deadpanned from them eating chocolate so early.  Sophia laughed, "My mom's in mating bliss right now she's very not concerned with what I eat right now. More like how long she can hide she's pregnancy from me."  Trent froze, "Your mom's pregnant?" Sophia nodded, "Yeah but she's for some reason scared to tell me." Silas looked at her confused and then realized something. She hadn't said much about her father. She hadn't said much, about where he was, what he was like.  Unlike how she gushed about her mom. "So...your mom just found her mate then? Her...true mate?" Sophia smiled, "Yeah...oh ugh, something you guys don't know about me!" Silas looked at his mate confused as she smiled widely and said, "Okay so I came from another dimension." All three boys froze, "Wait what?"  Sophia nodded, "Yeah. Everything else there was mortal, boring, and polluted. Here everything is lush, and magic is ingrained into the bedrock of it all." Sighing Sophia shrugged, "What I'm saying is, my mom and I came over here originally with Queen Amaya and King Cole before they rose to power. From another dimension where I had been with my mother for thirteen years. My father was mortal, but I gained full access to my mother's heritage."  Silas' jaw was on the ground. Maverick was eating some of the smores Sophia had made, and Trent was in a state of, "Is this b***h serious?" and "I think she's too high." which made her giggle. Loudly.  Making her cheeks turn pink. Sophia grinned feeling happy, "So...breakfast anyone?"  The three wolves watched the bubbly witch bounce inside the house and slowly followed her.  Later that night though when they were cuddled up in bed, Silas had to ask, "Your father...?" Sophia shook her head, "I can't talk about him right now." Silas peered down at her and her big brown eyes filled him up with warmth, "I'm too happy right now. He's memory would just spoil it."  Silas smiled and accepted her sweet kisses until both of them closed their eyes.
