Asher POV
As we break through the trees, I can see Violet and for a moment I feel relief when our eyes meet. I am running at top speed when I see her father use his vampire speed to reach her. She turns back to him, and just as I reach her, she falls to the ground. Titan has taken complete control when I see our mate on the ground with the dagger sticking out of her stomach. I lunge at King Baster and clamp my jaws down on his head ripping it off. I start to stalk toward the three council members who are backing up in fear. "Asher it doesn't have to be this way we were only doing what was best for our kind" Elder Thomas yells as I continue to stalk toward them. They will not leave here with their lives for what they have done to my mate and pup. I look back at Violet and see Jake
