I’ve never been the type to show up early for work. Honestly, half the time I wish I didn’t have to show up at all. But bills don’t pay themselves, rent doesn’t wait, and my mom—well, she needs me. Getting daily calls from the hospital about her health has become routine. A routine I hate.
