Marcus was waiting for us in the conference room, another man beside him. Younger, maybe thirty-five, with kind eyes and an expensive suit.
"Ms. Carter, Ms. Lane." Marcus gestured to the other man. "This is Richard Cole. He's a corporate investigator I work with on complex divorces."
Richard stood, shook our hands. "I've been looking into your husband's business dealings. And I found something you need to see."
He opened his laptop, turned it toward us.
Numbers. Accounts. Transactions.
"Your husband has been moving money," Richard said quietly. "A lot of money. Into offshore accounts you're not listed on."
My stomach dropped. "How much?"
