"He's smart and passionate and he genuinely cares about taking down assholes like Ethan." She crossed her arms. "And yes, he's attractive. So sue me."
"I'm not judging. I'm happy for you." I paused. "Does he know you've been investigating for fifteen months?"
"He does now. I showed him everything last week." Harper managed a small smile. "He called me terrifying and brilliant in the same sentence. Then he kissed me."
"Good for him. And good for you."
We spent the next hour going through everything. Harper walked me through her investigation. Every photo. Every observation. Every moment she'd watched my husband betray me while pretending to be faithful.
It hurt. But it also felt necessary. Like lancing a wound. Getting all the poison out.
