I should’ve been asleep hours ago. I really should have been asleep. Yet, here I was, widely awake. The dorm was quiet except for the faint hum of the radiator and the occasional groan of the old pipes. June’s breathing was steady — the kind of easy rhythm that suggested she’d passed out without a care in the world.
