Damien climbed down the stairs, his mind racing with a million questions. Was Kiara playing him? Did she know what her parents did? Was she an accomplice? Suddenly, all his certainty about her had been transformed into black doubts and suspicions. He felt extremely betrayed, and he wanted to confront her, but he knew he could not talk to her about it. Would she even tell him the truth? Could he trust her?
"Hey," her voice fell upon his ears, as he walked towards the training field, but he decided to ignore her and go forward. She rushed up to him and caught hold of his wrist, making him stop in his tracks. He did not look at her. He did not want to. She stood in front of him, frowning up at him, a questioning, concerned look in her eyes.
