She walked past him, her shoulder brushing into his, sending a million sparks through his arm. Damien froze, and so did the girl, both of them turning their heads to look at each other.
His gaze locked with hers, and the world stopped, as if dissolving into nothingness around them. Damien's mouth parted in shock, as he stared at the baby blue eyed beauty in front of him, platinum locks framing her snowy face, her cheeks tinting crimson as she lowered her gaze.
"Mate," Damien whispered, almost inaudibly, and after what felt like forever, he heard his heart beat quicken again.
"Sorry," she muttered sheepishly, her voice music to his ears. She spun on her heel and was about to walk away, when Damien found himself placing his hand on her small shoulder.
