Lightning cracked in the sky, followed by the sound of loud thunder, the Gods yelling their warnings at him. The rain tapped against the roof of the pack house, drenching everything almost instantly. Damien stood at the edge of the roof, closing his eyes, as cold, wet drops trickled down his face. Hidden among them were the cries of his heart, in the form of salty tears, as no sound escaped his lips.
