Life was good. Really good. In fact, for the last three weeks, life had never been better. I could honestly say that for the first time since I walked away from professional baseball…I was happy. Content in a way I’d never thought I’d be, not even when I’d had my dream job.
And it was all thanks to Rachel. We’d made her ours in that Helena hotel room, and we’d spent every night—and often during the day—doing it again and again. I was insatiable around her and thankfully, she was the same way. She may have been a virgin, but she wasn’t shy. No, she’d been bold and playful, curious and wild, right from the start.
So far Operation Knock Up Rachel hadn’t been a success…at least not that we knew of, but we sure as hell enjoyed trying. And trying.
