50. Don't be mad at me

1007 Words

Shane was late. He usually came home around five pm, but it was way past seven, so I was starting to get worried. I tried to call him, but there was no answer. He always answered me because he said he was worried about leaving me home alone so he couldn't miss my texts and calls. This was odd. I hoped he didn't run into trouble. What if Elizabeth was back and tried to hurt Shane! I gasped at the thought. I wouldn't be able to handle it. I already lost our baby. I couldn't lose Shane too. I had to do something! I called Matt because I didn't know what else to do. He was the only one that lived close enough to come over right away, and he was still my best friend. So I knew he would be here for me if I wanted him to be. And I wasn't wrong. Matt didn't hesitate and came over right away.
