With the scavenger hunt over and the promise of a reward waiting for me, my heart fluttered with excitement. I couldn't help but feel a bit giddy; after all, Jayden and Kayden had gone out of their way to make it up to me. Although the reason behind this fuss was something I still held in my heart, the bitterness was slowly fading away, replaced by the warm, gooey feelings their actions stirred in me.
