Ryder POV It was indeed a glorious day. I felt light and heavy at the same time as I walk to the stage and receive my award. I knew how proud my parents and River were of me. They did not see the award coming. I was my lazy ass self when I was in junior year. It didn’t seem like it, but I pushed myself hard the senior year. All because of one sweet girl. I wanted her to notice me, too, like everybody else had been noticing River, and be proud of me. And she was proud of me! I could see how she was beaming from her seat when Ms. Blaire bestowed on me my medal. Alas, school was over for me, but at the same time, I would be far away from Kimberly. This was bound to happen, and I didn’t know it would rip my heart to shreds. I was not one for cheesy moments, but I would terribly miss Kimberl
