“You get home late. There was even a time that you came home drunk.”
He looked at his hands while they fidgetted. My heart sank like my whole world would just crumble into pieces. Then he slowly looked at me and spoke.
“I am sorry, Audrey.”
Those words came while the side of his lips shook. My shoulders drooped and my soul shattered. My mind is saying it’s true....he has somebody else, but my heart is hoping I am just having a bad dream. I was quiet and tears rolled down streaming on my cheeks as my fingers fidgetted, wanting to punch him.
