I groaned as I came in the condom. I couldn't believe that Micah agreed to me to have s*x, usually, he would fight me, and then the fighting would turn out to us angrily making out.

But, today he agreed with me with no problems, and I was shocked. Shane was also on edge too, he wasn't used to this side of Micah so it came as a surprise to him.

“I'm so hot,” Micah shouted in his sleep, making me glance at him. I felt his forehead and just as he said it was hot. f**k, I can't believe that I had s*x with him in this heat, but I could not resist him while he was looking so sexy with his baby bump.

I got up and turned the fan to its highest, then discarded the condom in the trashcan, which I promise to take out as soon as I can, and made my way towards the bathroom.

After getting a washcloth, I went back to my mate and cleaned him as best as I could. Then I made my way back to the bathroom to take a shower.

It was then that I received a mind link from Jacob, saying that some men were here to fix the air conditioner and I should be responsible for overseeing it.

I sighed, knowing that I had to leave my mate, but I had to do it, no matter how much I hated it.

I'll do it for my mate and pup because the heat was getting to them and I didn't want Micah to have to go outside just to get some cool air.

After I got ready, I made my way downstairs and saw the technicians here getting ready to work.

They are humans, so they were trying to be careful around us. We, on the other hand, have to tread carefully around them. It's not that we hated humans, it's just that they are difficult to deal with.

I still remembered the date with Micah and Arlo and Jacob were there. I remembered the things that those humans were saying about Arlo, about gays. I don't mind being around them, it's only that I can't stand them.

I released a low growl, not mistakenly which had them speeding up their work and trying their best to avoid me.

What? Did they think that I was going to kill them?

I would never do such a thing. I'm innocent, well, for the most part.

After they were finished, I breathed a sigh of relief when I felt the cool air coming from the air conditioner.

Jacob wanted to change the weather, but we told him not to because of the pups and the pack members who are pregnant. It would have been difficult for them to venture outside on a rainy day, but now I regret it all.

At least the air conditioner was fixed, and we could now stay inside where it's cool. I still had training and patrolling to do, but that had to wait.

For now, I'm just happy that I get to spend time with my mate.
