(Landon) I had just come back from watching some of the younger wolves train when a wave of emotions crashed over me, so strong that I doubled over, clutching my stomach. It was like a tidal wave of fear and despair, and it pulled me under. I felt my heart race, the instinctual urge to protect kicking in. “Micah!” I called out, urgency moving me forward. My feet moved almost of their own accord as I sprinted toward our room. Something was wrong. I could feel it in my bones. I burst through the door, and my heart sank at the sight before me. Micah was hunched over the toilet, heaving violently, tears streaming down his face. My stomach twisted at the sight; I rushed to his side, kneeling beside him. “Micah!” I said, my voice filled with concern. “What happened? Are you okay?”
