I tucked the twins into their bassinets and stood to stretch. They were both calmer now that they were reunited. Findra was currently curled up on my bed, snoozing. A steady stream of smoke was billowing from her open mouth.
She was overwhelmingly excited when we arrived home. It took some time, but we finally got her to calm down, and soon she nested on my bed and fell asleep. It gave me a bit of a breather to take care of the twins.
Calder came out of the bathroom, rubbing a towel over his wet hair. Cullen had reluctantly left a while ago to talk with their father. “Pups asleep again?” he asked softly. I nodded, sidling over to him. He dropped the towel and pulled me flush to him. “I didn’t expect to be bringing a dragon girl home.”
