CALDER I drove us through the winding roads that skirted the edge of our original pack boundaries. Remi went between snacking and rubbing her sides in the passenger seat next to me, and I could feel her unease. I hoped my plans would relax her at least for a few hours. I wanted to kick myself for not asking Sammy to do the magic thing to the car again for Remi; she looked like she was trying to put up with it for our sake.
