The potion in Maya’s system would be harder to counteract than I initially thought. The first formula I came up with only made her sick to her stomach. She said it was nothing compared to the drink Jaime gave her, but that didn’t ease my guilt.
After looking through some more potion books, I had a new plan. Remi was supposed to be getting the twins to retrieve that new manuscript to help us figure out what Voldigoad had planned. I needed to get Maya feeling better so we could figure out what to do with him.
Thanks to Gentry, I already had a new office all to myself. It took me two seconds to pop everything over from Remi’s to mine after Gentry gave me the key. He warned me to be careful of Pip, who was busy in the office next to mine, decorating it for her mate.
