We made it to the base faster than I thought we would, all of us pushing forward walking in silence, the only sound was the occasional wind rustling through the tree tops.
Zephyr was nervous and I didn’t like it, whatever she was hearing made her even more on edge the closer that we got.
“It’s up there.” Soleil looked towards the top of the mountain, “Do you feel it?”
She looked between all of us, I still felt the thread pull me towards it.
Kevari and Zephyr were silent.
“I feel a pull,” I spoke up, I swear Zephyr rolled her eyes, but when I looked at her her face was perfectly calm.
“Good.” Soleil looked at me and smiled placing her hand on my shoulder.
“It is powerful but we don’t know what it is,” Zephyr said, her eyes darting between us and then back up at the mountain.
