CHAPTER THIRTY SIX All night, I had tossed and turned, thinking over what Malcom had said to me, his voice recurring in my head a million times over. He had just used me and I being the naïve girl I was, I had fallen right in the middle of his trap. Stupid heart! Stupid feelings! Stupid brain! Just why did it have to be him of all people? Angry tears had wet my ruddy cheeks all night long and it did not help matters that I had been madder at myself than him.   When morning arrived, I was the first to get up at exactly 5.45 a.m. A warm shower did not help much.
