A short while later, Penelope found herself making cups of hot cocoa and pulling out extra blankets with which to construct a blanket fort. She wasn’t entirely sure how she’d gotten talked into this, but was having trouble saying no to Carrie and Francesca, whose excitement was too much to contain. Sebastian had been most disappointed when Carrie shuffled him back onto the elevator, banishing him for the evening after declaring that this was, officially, a girl’s night. Penny’s phone buzzed, and she pulled it from her pocket after plopping the pile of blankets and pillows onto the sofa between her two girlfriends.
