***Part 2*** The man on the bed groaned. He slept on his side, but something in his dream had him turning to sprawl on his back instead. Then, as he grew increasingly affected by what his unconscious mind was showing him, his heart rate and breathing spiked up. His body soon responded to what it perceived were signs of crisis. Quite abruptly, it forced him to wake up. It was nothing dramatic like you often see on the screen. Xian Moon didn’t sit straight up or sweat bullets as if he’d just been out on a run. His eyes simply flew wide open, and he had none of the usual grogginess that came when one was freshly out of sleep. He was immediately alert, aware that just moments ago, he’d been dreaming. But even if he wasn’t aware, he’d still have known it from the way his heart was rap
