I woke up to the ringing of my phone, so I lifted my head up and searched for it on the nightstand with my eyes. Russell’s name was flashing on the screen, so I let out a groan before I reached for my phone to answer it.
“What?” I asked in a grumpy tone, since it wasn’t even seven o’clock in the morning, but he was already calling. I hoped that it was something important.
“One part of the job is done. Colton did a great job, man,” Russell said happily, and that made me sit up on the bed and pay attention to him while I rubbed the tiredness out of my eyes.
“What? What happened?” I asked him eagerly.
“Everything went as planned and Vivian fell for him right away. We managed to have a lot of dirt on her,” he said, and I couldn’t believe my ears.
