“Angel?” I looked around in the pub, but she was nowhere to be found. She must have walked out already, and I didn’t even notice because I was too shocked to hear about the weddings on the news. The weddings that we wanted to cancel at all costs. “F*ck, f*ck, f*ck.” I cursed as I stood up and walked out after her, but I couldn’t see her anywhere on the street.
I took my phone in my hand hurriedly and called her, but she didn’t answer, just as I suspected, so I called Sawyer right after.
“Hallo?” He answered for the third ring. He sounded sleepy, but it was late already, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was already sleeping.
“We have a problem. Did you see the news?” I asked him as I made my way to the car while still looking around to see if Angel was still around.
