“Angel, fancy seeing you here.” Jax stood in front of us with his arms folded in front of his chest. This position made his muscles look two times bigger than usual and my body reacted to him right away. It felt like he was pulling me in like a magnet.
“What are you doing here?” I asked him with a hard expression as I folded my arms in front of my chest as well, but he just kept glaring at Miles, who started to look uncomfortable. It was totally understandable, since Jax was two times bigger than him in size. “Miles, just go back. I will be there soon as well,” I told him, but he looked at me skeptically.
“Are you sure?” he asked, and I nodded my head quickly.
“Yes, he is a friend, don’t worry.” I told him reassuringly, so he finally nodded his head before he walked away.
