  My chest is tight outside my family's home like the string pulled on a compound bow. I haven't seen the inside of this house in fifteen years. Not that I didn't dream about coming home. Plenty of nights, I lost myself imagining what it would be like to go home, walk through those doors, and find Da sitting in his favorite chair or back in his office. He'd jump up and hug me, welcoming me home before calling the boys and cooking me a huge welcome home dinner.   Now, I'm staring at an empty house that hasn't seen a home-cooked meal in a decade and a half.
