The heat was finally over after hours of continuously having Enzo buried inside me. It couldn't have come at a worse time. For all me and Enzo knew, Erik could be out there wreaking havoc on our pack. Marcel's mate could be hurt, or worse Marcel could be hurt. Enzo was curled up next to my body, snoring lightly in my ear. I should be asleep right now too. I was too exhausted to move but my mind was on full blast, unable to think about anything other than this pack and their safety.
Enzo and I were irresponsible leaving them to fight off Erik's pack alone. It wasn't like it would have made a difference if I stayed, I wouldn't have been much help to them the way I was
