“Are you okay?” Jace asks as he walks up to me while I am sitting in a chair by the fire and thinking what to do about Cody.
“Yeah….. actually no, not really.” I tell him honestly, no point to lie to him. I feel like I can tell him anything. He pulls a chair closer and sits down next to me with a sigh while he takes my hand in his.
“I know you are worried, but I want you to know that I am here for you. I didn’t say that just because Sandra was there. I don’t care if he will be after me till he leaves you alone.” He says and I am melting from his sweetness.
“Thank you Jace, you are so nice.” I tell him with a smile. I decided to have fun and don’t think about Cody for the rest of the weekend. I don’t think he will do anything till we are here anyway.
“That’s a first, hearing from you.”
