Rik dreamed in fever, somewhere between peak and release. The sun was high above and hot as a desert eve and he stared at Theyeark from atop the High-hill. Flames spread across the city as far as his eyes could see. Sounds rose up discordant, assaulting his ears even from this distance and he felt as if he would laugh. -A sign and proof- Came a thought. His dream fell upon his guard.
